We’re seeking visionary leaders to join our Board of Directors and help guide Tech Teens Inc through our next phase of growth and impact. As a board member, you’ll provide strategic oversight, fiduciary responsibility, and professional expertise while championing educational equity and youth development. π Open Board Positions
π° Treasurer
Core Responsibilities:
- Financial Oversight: Monitor organizational budget, cash flow, and financial health through regular review of financial statements and reports
- Compliance Management: Ensure adherence to nonprofit financial regulations, tax requirements, and reporting obligations
- Strategic Financial Planning: Collaborate on long-term financial sustainability, reserve fund management, and growth projections
- Risk Assessment: Evaluate financial risks, internal controls, and recommend improvements to fiscal management practices
Ideal Background: CPA, CFO, financial analyst, or extensive nonprofit financial management experience
π Secretary
Core Responsibilities:
- Meeting Documentation: Record detailed board meeting minutes, maintain accurate records of decisions and action items
- Governance Support: Ensure compliance with bylaws, maintain corporate documents, and oversee board composition requirements
- Communication Coordination: Facilitate board communications, meeting scheduling, and document distribution
- Policy Management: Maintain organizational policies, procedures, and governance documentation
Ideal Background: Legal, nonprofit administration, corporate governance, or executive assistance experience
π€ Development/Fundraising Chair
Core Responsibilities:
- Fundraising Strategy: Lead development of comprehensive fundraising strategies including individual donors, foundations, and corporate partnerships
- Donor Cultivation: Utilize personal and professional networks to identify and engage potential major donors and board prospects
- Grant Oversight: Provide guidance on grant applications, foundation relationships, and funding diversification strategies
- Event Leadership: Oversee fundraising events, sponsorship development, and revenue generation initiatives
Ideal Background: Development professional, business leader with fundraising experience, or foundation/philanthropic sector expertise
π Programs/Outreach Advisor
Core Responsibilities:
- Program Strategy: Provide expertise on educational program development, curriculum enhancement, and student outcome measurement
- Community Partnerships: Leverage connections to build relationships with schools, community organizations, and youth-serving agencies
- Impact Assessment: Guide evaluation methods, data collection strategies, and program effectiveness measurement
- Expansion Planning: Advise on geographic expansion, program scaling, and sustainable growth strategies
Ideal Background: Education leadership, youth development, program management, or community engagement expertise

Essential Qualifications
- Professional Leadership: Minimum 5-7 years of senior-level experience in relevant fields (education, technology, business, nonprofit, finance)
- Governance Experience: Previous board service or executive leadership with understanding of fiduciary responsibilities and strategic oversight
- Mission Alignment: Demonstrated commitment to education equity, youth development, and social justice initiatives
- Network & Influence: Professional connections that can benefit organizational growth, fundraising, and partnership development
- Time Commitment: Ability to dedicate 4-6 hours monthly including board meetings, committee work, and special events
- Financial Contribution: Personal giving capacity and willingness to support organizational fundraising efforts

- Geographic Connection: Atlanta-based or strong connections to the Atlanta/Southeast region
